That'd be about 1/3rd of total hardware sales. I can see Gears 2 pushing 6.5 mill withen the first 5 months of it's release (assuming it has a October release). Raking in somewhere around 3 or 4 mill in the first month. But 7.5 in one month that is a LARGE estimate on the article writers behalf.
Then again i'm just some random dude on the internet giving my "analysis" on how many copies a big XBOX 360 title will sell *laughs*.
About Prince of Persia: Heir Apparent the more and more i like what i'm hearing/seeing. There's something that's making it different from Assassins Creed and making sure it is it's own game. I can't wait to see some gameplay footage to see how acrobatic the new prince is. He was awesome in Two Thrones and in the interview he said he's faster and more agile.
I prefered the other guy over Katt Williams. I love his standup (the normal stuff) and even his inprov. But the other guy blew him out of the water in gta4. Did anyone see the Cancer patient skit? It was SOOOOOOOOO wrong but i laughed my ass off at it.
Eat, Sleep, Play maybe?
Well said, sho nuff.
I'm especially looking forward to the new PoP game. From what i read it's less focus on combat and making each enemy you do encounter more boss like. More of a focus on platforming that i'm totally looking forward to. I'm also interested in the next Splinter Cell but i hope they change it enough to make it look different enough from Assassins Creed.
Looks like i'll have to stop being a cheap mofo and switch my pre order to the limited edition.
But i want to hear about the story and new gameplay mechanics already. Mafia is one of my favorite games and i liked it much more than GTA hell i think the original Mafia's story is better than GTA4's stor. I think the dev's threw away the ending to make it how it turned out instead of a more emotional thing (Darko). But anywho i'm very much looking forward to Mafia 2 quite a lot.
I think we he says "dumbed down" i don't think he means graphics wise. I think he was talking about the new feature of which you could preform a crazy combo (that was different each time) by just pressing the same button over and over. It was to help the new audience get used to DMC's action. Also the difficulty was tuned down but i don't think that was because the xbox crowd was getting DMC for the first time. But more in tuned to people complaining DMC3 was too hard and how the in...
Probably because i like reduced color pallets. But i think if the setting suits the situation and environment then i think that's a good thing. I love Uncharted but it was actually too bright for me (for the stuff on the boats/jet skies and... That other part towards the end that i don't want to spoil). Assassins Creed is another vibrant game (Jerusalem is beautiful) but games like Gears, Dark Sector, basically every game with war tones to the overall game is a depressive state. Sepia tones a...
I wouldn't say that 95 percent of all next gen multiplatform games look better on the 360 maybe mid last yearish that would have been true. But now i think it's more like 66 percent of multiplatform games looking slightly better on the 360. In other words 1 out of every 3 multiplatform games look the same on both consoles (usually made by experienced devs) versus 2 multiplatform games looking a bit better on the 360. A far cry from a year ago but still not at 50% sadly so these got damn compa...
MGS4, Gears 2, GTA4 are all in be default kind of they will sell (GTA4 has sold) well and the games themselves will be very good. Maybe not revolutionary or anything of the sort but those 3 will be in the running when the smoke clears. As for the other candidates it's anyone's guess because every year there's a strong case for a good 5 or 6 games.
Unfortunately there have been absolutely no news, blurry cellphone footage or pictures of Akuma in Street Fighter 4 yet. With each day that passes i'm getting a wee bit more worried that he won't be in Street Fighter 4.
From what i saw Burnout, CoD4, Half-Life 2 and Need for Speed: Prostreet all look the same on the Ps3 and the 360. The rest of the games look a wee bit better on the 360 detail wise the most apparent being Assassins Creed with Altair looking more defined on the 360 version. As for the Ps3 version of GTA4 i'd say the 360 version is less blurry (which i like) but the buildings and such looks better on the Ps3 version.
That is true. DMC4 just felt like a reskinned DMC3 with a few additives to it and without that "wow" vibe i got from DMC3. DMC4 though did feel dumbed down the difficulty was tuned down as well as the insta combo option for newbies. I would have preferred the more challenging DMC3 difficulty. Though i do think DMC do require some skill to beat it specially 3, 4 seems like less effort is needed except for the 2nd Nero vs Dante fight where you have to really pull off all the stops tha...
You can't tap the same button over and over on DMC3 or DMC4 the enemies are varied and each one of them have their weakness. For instance agni and rudra in DMC3 is more susceptible to prop shredder in Sword Master than the nunchucks or Gunslinger. Or Quicksilver having bad defense against the nunchucks. DMC is deeper than you think. I like both games and i personally like God of War much better than both but DMC isn't as shallow as Itakagi says.
Uhhh why did someone disagree with me for asking a question about how much the game will cost? I was hoping that the game would be packaged with another game to make it look more appealing instead of just a online game.
edit: Thanks for the response TheineffableBlob for answering my question. Bubbles for you my kind sir.
How much left 4 Dead will cost? And will it come packaged with any other games? I know it's a online game only so i'm guessing it's not gonna be priced at $60. Unless it comes with another game or something to lift the price to 60 smackers.
DMC does have deep combat at first it seems shallow but then once you get into the flow of the game getting a S or a SSS in combo's really is work and you do have to know which weapons you are carrying and how you can lead off to the next attack. There's some vids on youtube of DMC3 that shows how deep the combat is. Though it does feel DMC4 was dumbed down even having a "Insta combo" button mash setting. I didn't like that part about the game but it's more or less of a face lift of...
All i need is in game footage and the deal is sealed for me. I'm sure the same team that works on Rainbowsix Vegas, Ass Creed and Prince of Persia is all different. I liked how the trailer looked, reminded me alot of Two Thrones.
